AAHOACON21 Code of Conduct

AAHOA strives to create a professional and welcoming environment at all of its events, whether they are in person or virtual. We expect all attendees to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and dignified manner at all times and to treat others with respect and dignity, free from harassment or discrimination. This Event Code of Conduct (“Code of Conduct) serves to provide a framework of principle for attendees, guests, volunteers, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, contractors, and staff (“Attendees”) at AAHOACON21. This Code of Conduct applies to all events held at any venue, hotel, meeting room, office, or off-site location, including social settings, related to AAHOACON21. Everyone attending AAHOACON21 is required to abide by the following principles:

Expressly Prohibited Behavior
AAHOA expressly prohibits all forms of harassment and discrimination. Additional conduct prohibited by this Code of Conduct include, without limitation:

  1. Irresponsible or excessive drinking of alcoholic beverages
  2. Any destruction or vandalizing of property or materials
  3. Intimidating or threatening verbal or non-verbal conduct
  4. Sexual harassment, including but not limited to unwanted or inappropriate conduct, unwanted sexual attention, comments, jokes, or advances
  5. Bullying, intimidation, or disparaging comments
  6. Lewd, derogatory, or otherwise offensive speech or non-verbal conduct
  7. Threats or stalking another attendee
  8. Disruptive behavior 
  9. Possession of a weapon or any item that can be used as a weapon that may be used to threaten or cause injury to others if used in a certain manner
  10. Pornographic material or explicit content (sexual or violent in nature)

Attendees who violate the Code of Conduct will be asked to stop the behavior and comply immediately or face any action that AAHOA, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate, including but not limited to expulsion from AAHOACON21 without a refund or disqualification from attending any future AAHOA events.
