Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program (MIPP)
Attention all California business owners: What have you done to get Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program (MIPP) compliant? AAHOA has teamed up with Accurate Ergonomics to offer a FREE MIPP Train the Trainer session at our 2019 Convention & Trade Show.
As part of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) required by California law, all state lodging establishments shall establish, implement, and maintain an effective, written, musculoskeletal injury prevention program (MIPP) that addresses hazards specific to housekeeping. Hoteliers must provide specialized training to housekeepers and their supervisors in a language easily understood by these employees and must maintain proof thereof. This regulation took effect July 1, 2018, and all hoteliers in the state must comply.
Join us to learn from medical professionals what you need to know to provide this training required by California state law and see demonstrations of correct movements. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion and obtain valuable information and skills to achieve and maintain long-term compliance with OSHA and workplace safety.
